The prestigious Annecy Festival in France has officially opened submissions for its 2025 edition, inviting animation creators from around the globe to showcase their work in its renowned Official Selection. Known as the world’s leading platform for animated films and projects, the Annecy Festival continues to be a significant event for professionals and enthusiasts in the industry.

Key deadlines for submissions are as follows:

  • February 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM (French time) for short films, graduation films, TV films, and commissioned works.
  • March 15, 2025, at 11:59 PM (French time) for feature films.

Additionally, submissions for VR works will open at the beginning of January 2025. Filmmakers are encouraged to carefully review the festival’s submission rules, which are available on the official website.

In tandem with the submissions, the Annecy Festival is introducing a new user account feature this year. Participants can complete their profiles to access a wide range of tools, including registering films, purchasing accreditation, booking screenings, and exploring the festival's video library.

For projects still in development, the festival’s Mifa Pitches will soon open submissions. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for creators to present their ideas to potential collaborators, financial backers, and industry leaders.
