Who Will Tell a Tale?

A bored king announces a contest of tall tales, promising half his kingdom to anyone whose story he declares untrue, but on his adviser's advice he "believes" every storyteller and takes all their belongings. Then a village boy arrives with an enormous sack and announces that the king once borrowed a sackful of gold from his village, catching the monarch in a paradox he cannot escape. Based on an Armenian folk tale.
