Future. A spaceliner from Earth arrives in orbit on an undiscovered planet. A group of hunters, thrill-seekers, disembark from the ship. Life is discovered on the planet’s surface: animals and plants that are caricatures of their Earth counterparts. The frivolous extermination of the local fauna and flora by the earthlings begins.

The only woman in the team witnesses how the local laws of nature work: if one creature kills another, then the murderer is reborn as a victim. And this rule works for aggressive intruders as well as for the animals themselves. The woman tries to warn the rest of the crew, but they don’t listen to her, and most of the crew is reincarnated as local creatures. Understanding this law of nature, she decides to deliberately kill the bird to become one, but after the shot, something new happens: the bird partially regains the appearance of one of the astronauts, since the first death and transformation had already happened before. However, this crew member has changed, he has retained the signs of what he was before - his shoulders, neck and arms are curved, he somewhat resembles a bird of prey. Thus the characters learn that by killing the creature a second time, it is possible to bring the crew back at least in this capacity. Not having had time to warn the captain, who has turned into some kind of toad before their eyes, and wishing to return him to his former state, they exceed the necessary laser power, and from the toad torn apart many small copies of the jumping man are restored. This part of the crew - the woman, the man-bird, about eight small clones of the toad-captain and the fish-man - flee the planet, while the other part remains on it as animals or plants. After the end credits, the viewer sees one of the small toad-captain clones forgotten, waving in vain after the departing shuttle. He then sits down on one of the leftover blasters and assumes the posture of a Rodenian thinker.
