Look at You, Maslenitsa!

Peasants must pay a greedy landowner a tax on fallen snow, and one poor family loses its pot of butter as payment. A boy overhears the landowner telling his dim-witted watchwoman that the pot will stay until Maslenitsa arrives, and he convinces her that he himself is Maslenitsa and walks off with it. The enraged landowner gives chase, but the boy outwits him again. Based on the fairy tale "Barekendan" by Hovhannes Tumanyan.
