During a harsh winter, the hare must face the freeze, the hunger and the danger coming from hunters or other animals. In a chase with a fox the hare gets close to a human dwelling and he finds out how good, comfortable and safe life the rabbits have. The hare decides for a radical change and he starts to live in the rabbit-hutch.
