Mr. Deeds Goes to Town

Beautifully shot by Joseph Walker, Capra's film is about a country man who inherits $20 million from a distant relative, which brings with it corrupt forces. At the midpoint, the rollicking comedy transforms into a moving plea to address the pain of the Great Depression.
