The people's struggle-literacy in Santa Catarina,
shows how literacy and social intervention among the rural population were
conditions necessary to achieve the expected changes and raise awareness
the same groups to new forms of organization and consciousness
in 1976, the majority of the population
illiterate, concentrating the highest illiteracy rate in rural areas.
