Marc, a young city dweller, leaves to settle alone in the countryside. He is counting on the upcoming arrival of his girlfriend Louise, who is slow to join him. Marc is obsessed with the "well-being" routine that punctuates his days, but the silence is getting heavier and heavier, and Louise is still not arriving. In this agonizing calm, Marc gradually finds himself assailed by sounds that we are used to ignoring, then by others that we are not supposed to hear.
