Carla, a young visually impaired rider, embarks on an initiatory journey on horseback in the Kyrgyz steppes. Accompanied by her father Pierre, cinematographer and director, she begins a demanding journey between steppes and passes at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. She discovers the country and goes to meet the nomadic people. Pierre films the trip and serves as his daughter's eyes; he describes the scenes she cannot see, warns her of the dangers, encourages her. Carla advises her father on horseback riding and seeks to transmit to him his singular relationship with animals, energies, elements. The journey reveals their unique and fusing bond, each discovering the other's world over the course of this adventure. Pierre knows that after this journey, he will have to let Carla fly away to her adult life.
