Trailer / Teaser
After fleeing Israeli bombardment in Gaza, Ghassan, his Russian wife Anna, and their daughters start a new life in Russia. Living in self-imposed exile in a place entirely unlike their home country, they grapple with the memories while longing for all that they left behind. Subtle, carrying a delicate touch of melancholy, as well as a quiet sorrow, Gaza Grad follows the aftermath in the lives of those people who have managed to escape the war, safeguarding their physical existence, yet enduring the - quite bitter - loss of everything that had composed their existential ecosystem for years. Through seamless storytelling, subtle emotional nuances, and a touching focus on the details that make a difference, it sheds light on the hope and strength allowing one to carry on even in the midst of nostalgia, the unavoidable ache of reminiscing, and the lasting power of its solace.
