This short film, made after the closure of the largest archive of victims of Stalinism and the Soviet dictatorship, explores the painful chapters of Russian history through the personal experiences of the director’s family. From World War I to the Civil War and on to Stalinist repression, these stories exist not only on the pages of books but continue to affect families to this day.
