Miloš Šejn, lying, unsleeping. And, most importantly, creating. This documentary essay follows an artist whose works are “born of wonder” and who is able to effortlessly navigate his longed-for escape from the city. Instead of endless sensory input, the film offers a space for concentration and perceptiveness – a space which quite possibly exceeds the seventy minutes spent in the theatre. Debut director Jakub Kučera invited editor Alexander Kashcheev and musician Oliver Torr onto his creative team, and their efforts have helped to boost the impact of this unconventional portrait of an elusive figure. When observation leads to contemplation.
