The film is a hybrid of documentary and fiction exploring how war lingers in memory and place. In a remote Finnish village, Ukrainian workers Oleksandr and Mykyta plant trees on land once used by Ukrainian POWs. As they work, echoes of past and present conflicts surface, reflecting Russia’s war in Ukraine. Blending real geologists with a fictional thread, the film meditates on history, displacement, and recurring war.
