Fin People

The city is slowly disappearing beneath the water of unknown origin. Some flee, while others adapt to the new reality – because of spending long periods in the water, they grow fins. An elderly cobbler clings desperately to his old life, but his wife is increasingly fascinated by the underwater world. As the water level rises and most residents leave, they must decide what to do. This subtle, humour-laced animation becomes a bitter metaphor for the present day: a world obsessively rushing towards change, in which not everyone wants or is able to keep up with rapid transformation.
