La Dissidente

Autumn, Nantes. Hua Liu (60) is helped by her daughter to obtain a long-stay visa so she can spend her retirement with her family, particularly Paul (8), her grandson whom she has never met. A socially conscious poet, she gives an underground reading in a Chinese restaurant. That day, a man in a suit confiscates all her books. After picking up Paul from school, she is summoned by a mysterious office to collect “an important document”.
