In the near future, NewMan Corporation emerges with a promise to end chaos and inefficiency. In the world it creates, human diversity has disappeared, leaving only two classes: “Workers” and “Producers”— women assigned to produce human life. Women are given a choice. Become a Producer, whose role is childbirth, or adjust the functions of their bodies and become a “NewMan” — a Worker guaranteed promotion and a high income. With a single NewMan pill, women can be permanently freed from the pain of childbirth, menstruation, and the social burdens that come with them. But there is one condition. To take the pill, they must stay inside NewMan Station for three days and undergo a process of “body customization,” descending one floor each day. The cost is clear: there is no going back. Haneul decides to become a NewMan for the future she wants with her husband, and enters NewMan Station. Inside the beautiful yet eerie space, filled with dazzling colors, she meets Dami, a girl who seems quietly afraid. “Please help me get out of here.” In a world where everyone is supposed to be happy after becoming a NewMan, Dami’s plea opens a crack in everything Haneul has believed. D-3 until she becomes a NewMan. Can Haneul make it out before the choice becomes irreversible?
