The City of Lost Children

On a lonely oil rig, lost in the swirling fog of an unknown future, there is a sad and heartbroken man called KRANK. Ageing prematurely because he can't dream, he kidnaps little children, hoping that eventually he will find a way to steal their sleeping thoughts.... Krank is surrounded by a host of misfortunate companions; IRVIN (a wise old brain who floats in a tank) suffers from terrible headaches that keep him forever on the edge of a bad mood. Understandably his humour is sharp, but if he had a heart, it would be a good one. Then there is the strange dwarf, MISS BISMUTH and her band of CLONES. The identical and gormless Clones have a secret wish - they are desperate to find out who is the original - from whom they were all created.... Back on land, on the other side of the haze, is ONE. He is a force of nature, a mountain of a man - yet both innocent and brave. His mission is to search for his little brother DENREE who has strangely gone missing.
