The Last Battle

A desolate future, scarred by what appears to be the aftermath of nuclear war. A nameless man wanders through endless deserts and ruins, driven by a single purpose: survival. Pollution and climate catastrophe have stripped humanity of language, and in this world, the distinctions between good and evil, perpetrator and victim, have lost all meaning. In a world where survival takes precedence over living, he kills to stay alive, then boards a plane toward yet another ruined city. There, wounded after a confrontation with a dangerous adversary, he stumbles into an abandoned hospital. Inside, he finds a doctor — one who lives by painting murals across the walls, as if recording the history of a lost civilisation and prophesying a future yet to come. Through their encounter, the man comes face to face with the memory of a forgotten world, and the faint possibility of what it means to be human.
