Control Anatomy

The relationship between images and war was deeply studied by Harun Farocki. But Farocki, who worked with archives of many of the horrors humanity is capable of, never personally lived through a televised genocide broadcast with the complicit silence of the entire world. Control Anatomy, with its Farockian coldness, is the harrowing testimony (made even more powerful by the silence in which the film’s text is recited) of a Palestinian filmmaker who has personally experienced the constant control and violence of the Israeli occupying state.
