In the aftermath of a biological war that reduced mankind to ape-like cavemen, a lone survivor tries to civilize a caveman.Karayr is an Arabic post-apocalyptic independent short film, with Armenian influences. The story is set in a fictional Middle East, and takes place in the wake of a biological war that devolved people back to ape-like cavemen.The story revolves around the relationship between a single survivor who had retained his intelligence and a caveman who shows higher cognitive abilities.When the caveman walks into his shelter inside a cave, the survivor decides to adopt him and teach him civilized human behaviour, hoping to bring back what was lost.The film is part of a new movement in storytelling referred to as "Arab Futurism", where we explore the imagined future of our region, to reflect the path we’re currently on.
