The Land Remains

The Land Remains explores Britain as an island shaped by ritual, migration and the persistence of the past. It places the revival of folklore and pre-Christian traditions in dialogue with the Bibby Stockholm asylum barge, asking how land, migration and belonging shape national identity. Filmed over a year, the work follows seasonal rituals and sacred sites across Britain, moving through solstices, equinoxes and other thresholds. This film brings folklore and landscape into conversation with contemporary identity, ending with a vital proposition: we are a migrant nation.
