Studio Wasia
About
Studio Wasia is a festival distribution service for animated short films run by Wasia, an association in Champigny-sur-Marne, France, whose main activity is a recording studio. The service was launched freelance in 2008 by Mikhal Bak; Ilana joined in 2018 and Miguel in 2022, taking over the management of the catalogue in 2023.
It handles the festival careers of animated shorts from their first year of circulation, and often well beyond, by targeting festivals, submitting the films and managing the selections. It also offers consulting, including customised festival lists, training, and handles rentals and sales. Its clients include Folimage, Eddy Production, Autour de Minuit, Les Films du Nord, Lardux Films, Avec ou sans Vous, the École Georges Méliès, Scalaé Productions and Valk Productions, among other independent producers.
