Darwin’s Notebook

In 1833 a young Charles Darwin embarked on a long journey. On board the ship he met three natives of Tierra del Fuego, who had been kidnapped three years earlier and were returning to their country. For the Alakalufs this meeting with the modern world heralded their destruction.
