İnternational Silk Road Film Awards

CONDITIONS of PARTICIPATION 1. Fiction Films and Animated Films whose duration should not exceed 20 minutes and Documentary Films whose duration should not exceed 45 minutes can participate in the competition. 2. Films made after 1 January 2020 can participate in the competition. 3. The legal owner of the film can apply to the competition. If a film has more than one legal owner, the approval of each one is required. The owners can apply to the Competition with more than one film if they wish. 4. Those who wish to participate in the competition can obtain the application form from the SETEM (www.setem.org.tr) or SETEM Academy (www.setemakademi.com) web pages. 5. It is deemed accepted by the contestant that the films submitted to the competition without commercial purposes may take part in SETEM events by specifying the director's name. 6. Films that pass the preliminary jury at the festival can be brought to the audience by creating memberships during the festival on an internet platform to be determined by the International Silk Road Film Awards. 7. The use of a promo reel or a trailer of each work for a maximum of 20 seconds for the promotion of the festival (TV, radio, print broadcasts, internet, etc.) is deemed accepted by the contestant. 8. The judgment of the pre-select committee and the jury is final. 9. The deadline to apply to participate in the festival is 03 October 2021. 10. Participants are required to submit their participation application forms to info@setem.org.tr address by this date at the latest. 11. The applicant is responsible for copyrights. 12. The films participating in the festival will be pre-selected first. The selected films will be evaluated by a jury to be created by the professionals of the sector and announced at the award ceremony to be held in December. 13. Application for International Awards must be made at www.filmfreeway.com address. If the same participants wish to apply for the national competition, they must also complete the application form at www.setem.org.tr or www.setemakademi.com. 14. The award candidates for the films that will compete in the national category must be Turkish Citizen. 15. In addition, special jury awards will be given in Documentary, Animation and Short Film categories without the requirement to pass the pre-selection. 16. Domestic finalist contestants will deliver an object used in their films to SETEM to be exhibited at a museum or an exhibition in the future.
