Anibar Animation Festival

Anibar Animation Festival takes place in Peja, Kosovo, and is organised by Anibar, an organisation that encourages young people to express their ideas through animation and to discuss social issues relevant to the youth of Kosovo. The festival dates back to 2010. It presents animation both as an art form and as a medium for raising awareness of social, political and cultural issues, and it has contributed to the development of the animation industry in Kosovo.

The programme combines six competitive sections – International, Student, Balkan, Animated Music Video, Human Rights and Young Audience – with non-competitive programmes, screenings in five cinemas, workshops, masterclasses, presentations and exhibitions. Pitch It is the festival’s project development competition for emerging animation filmmakers. The dates of the 2026 edition are 12–18 July 2026.
