Brooklyn Women's Film Festival

The Brooklyn Women's Film Festival (BWFF) is a female focused film festival. Run by women, about women, and for everyone. BWFF accepts submissions from films directed, written, and/or that feature a strong female presence on screen, while giving special preference to films that contain: one or more women and/or persons of diverse genders, as chief production members including cinematographers, editors, and/or producers. This is an inclusive event, for all cis and trans women, as well as binary and non binary people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of self-identifying women. BWFF gives special preference to work that transcends the Bechdel Test, celebrates diversity in front of and behind the camera and tackles storytelling through a feminine lens.
