Cardiff Animation Festival is an international animation festival in Cardiff, Wales, centred on animated shorts, feature films, talks, workshops, filmmaker Q&As and industry events. The festival grows out of Cardiff Animation Nights, a screening series that has run since 2014, and its first full festival edition appears in 2018. It has developed into a regular meeting point for audiences, filmmakers and animation professionals, with a programme that combines international work with a visible platform for Welsh and Wales-based animation. The current edition is the 2026 festival, running at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff from 23 to 26 April, with an online programme extending into May.
