Cyber Film Festival

Cyber Film Festival is an online competition built around cyber security awareness. It was set up by QRSEC, a cyber security consultancy founded in 2018 that works on security training, social engineering testing and red team methods, as a social responsibility project linking cinema with digital safety. Films on the theme compete in quarterly sessions; off-topic entries are disqualified, and films not in English need English subtitles.

Instead of cash prizes, winners receive an online cyber security awareness training session with a training certificate, along with a certificate and a laurel for the film. Awards are given in tiers named Cyber Awards of Excellence, Prestige and Special Prestige, in categories such as feature, short, animation, science fiction and visual effects. The last edition, the ninth session, took place in October 2022, with an event date of 12 October 2022.
