The Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital (DCEFF) presents environmentally themed films in Washington, D.C., alongside discussions with filmmakers and specialists. Founded by Flo Stone in 1993, it explores subjects ranging from conservation and activism to scientific discovery and the natural world. Its activities extend beyond the annual festival through year-round screenings and an online collection of past selections.

The 35th anniversary edition runs from 8–17 April 2027 across theatres, universities, museums and embassies in the D.C. metropolitan area. Its theme, Eyes Open: 35 Years of Witness & Wonder, connects films about planetary challenges, environmental advocates and natural wonders. The programme includes international films and panel conversations with filmmakers and experts.
