European Film Festival of Lille
Festival du Cinéma européen de Lille
The European Film Festival of Lille (Festival du Cinéma européen) is a short film festival founded in Lille in 1984 and run by Prix de Court, a non-profit student association. It promotes French and European short films and brings film professionals together with local audiences. Selected films compete in two strands: the Official Competition, judged by a jury of film professionals, with a Grand Prix and awards for direction, screenplay and acting; and Autres Regards, devoted to documentary, experimental and animated shorts and judged by secondary-school students and a student jury. The festival also runs a short film screenwriting competition and, through the year, screenings and talks in schools, hospitals and prisons.
The dates for the 42nd edition are 6–11 March 2026, in four Lille cinemas, with 52 shorts from 21 countries selected from 2,320 submissions.
