Experimental Superstars

Experimental Superstars focuses on experimental films, experimental documentaries and music videos that use cinema as an expressive language, including animation and dance film. Based in Novi Sad, Serbia, the festival is organized by Mafin and dates back to 2015. Its selection is designed for screenings rather than video installations; works of any length are eligible, with preference given to films under 30 minutes.

The Ex(YU)perimental submission category gives works from the former Yugoslavia a fee exemption, with selected films screened within the main programme categories. A two-member jury chooses winners by consensus and may award special mentions. FilmFreeway lists the 2026 dates as 12–14 November 2026.
