Fantasy Filmfest tours seven German cities with a programme of international horror, thrillers, science fiction and unconventional arthouse cinema. Rosebud Entertainment organises the festival, whose route includes Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart. Alongside feature films, Get Shorty presents a short-film competition decided by the audience. Fresh Blood focuses on directors’ first or second features, while Fear Good highlights European productions and co-productions through a jury drawn from the seven festival cities.

The 40th edition dates are 2–30 September 2026, with an eight-day programme in each city. Its programme also includes film-school showcases and Screen Legends screenings. The organiser also presents Fantasy Filmfest Nights and Fantasy Filmfest White Nights as separate additional events.
