CINEMANIA film festival

CINEMANIA is a Montreal festival devoted to French-language cinema from Quebec, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Africa and the wider Francophonie. Founded in 1995, it takes place every November and screens nearly sixty fiction features alongside documentaries and short films, most of them with English subtitles. Its selection draws on films that have played at festivals such as Cannes, Locarno, Venice, Toronto, Namur and Angoulême.

The competitive sections are the Visages de la Francophonie competition, a Quebec films competition, a documentary competition and a short film competition, each with its own jury, while the Air Canada Prix du Public goes to the audience's favourite film. The CINEMANIA Pro programme gathers producers, distributors, exhibitors and programmers from French-speaking countries. The 32nd edition runs from 4 to 15 November 2026 at Montreal venues including the Cinémathèque québécoise, Cinéma du Musée, Cinéma du Parc and the Monument-National.
