2014

FilmQuest is a genre film festival in Provo, Utah, devoted to fantasy, horror and science fiction, along with neighbouring genres such as action, thriller, western and kung fu. Founded by filmmaker Jonathan Martin and first held in 2014, it is run as a non-profit organisation. Competitions cover feature, short, animated, student and documentary films, music videos, a section for Utah shorts and unproduced feature, short and pilot screenplays. Winners in the major categories receive the Cthulhu Trophy, a pewter statuette designed by Ryan Peterson, and the festival's workshops and labs run under the name Camp Cthulhu.

The 13th edition runs 22–31 October 2026, with screenings at Velour Live Music Gallery in downtown Provo and a virtual programme on EO Flix.
