Flipbook Film Festival

Short films and hand-held flipbooks are part of the same European animation programme at Flipbook Film Festival in Skopje, North Macedonia. Separate competitions cover professional and student shorts, animated documentaries, music videos and physical flipbooks, giving space to both screen-based work and animation on paper. Exhibitions, artist-led workshops and masterclasses extend the programme beyond screenings. FlipBook Productions and ASIFA Macedonia organise the event with support from the Cinematheque of Macedonia, one of its screening venues. The selection emphasises originality, animation technique and the social or educational content of the work.
