At Hobnobben Film Festival, we aim to champion unique and diverse storytellers. Our 7th annual festival will be held October 13-16, 2022, at Fort Wayne Cinema Center, a 501c3 nonprofit arthouse theater, located in the downtown Fort Wayne arts district. Cinema Center’s mission is to provide unique opportunities to explore our world through the art of film, and Hobnobben allows us the opportunity to do this – like whoa.
What do we look for: A good forking story. Narrative over budget. Stories that deserve to be seen. Stories that NEED to be seen. Stories we don’t get to see often enough.
Fort Wayne is a great place to live, a great place to visit and a great place to have a film festival – we take our filmmaker hospitality seriously and want everyone to feel welcome and heard. Any selected filmmakers in attendance will receive two VIP filmmaker passes to the festival, free of charge.
Diversity: Need it. Want it. Gotta have it. No seriously, the stories we tell and who tells them matter. We want to hear as many voices as possible. We don’t have an international category, for example, because we want to see international submissions in ALL our categories.
Proceeds from the festival go toward supporting, maintaining and programming Fort Wayne’s nonprofit arthouse movie theater, Cinema Center.
