Berlin International Underground Film Festival

Audience voting forms a separate part of Berlin International Underground Film Festival (BIUFF): online viewers choose the audience awards, while an invited jury decides the 4U Grand Trophy and other honours. Directed by filmmaker Amir Morsali and run as an initiative of Amira Pictures, the Berlin-based festival accepts independent narrative, documentary, animated and experimental work. Its selection is organised into feature films, documentaries, shorts and New Forms, the latter covering music videos, AI cinema and animation. The founding 2026 edition presents its online programme worldwide from 21 September to 5 October 2026. Jury and audience results share an announcement date of 17 October 2026.
