IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival

IN THE PALACE focuses on short films and audiovisual arts, with international and Bulgarian competitions for professional and student filmmakers. Founded in 2003 as a student film forum, the Bulgarian festival presents fiction, animation, documentary and experimental work. Its competition also includes films longer than 40 minutes and music videos.

FILMER FORGE, the festival’s industry programme, combines educational modules, professional meetings, a short film co-production market and project pitching. The wider programme includes filmmaker Q&As, thematic screenings, a video library and an interdisciplinary conference devoted to short film. The festival is organized by the IN THE PALACE International Short Film Festival Foundation and the Culture Pernik Municipal Foundation.
