Latin American independent cinema is the focus of the Lima International Film Festival PUCP, organised by the Cultural Centre of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. The programme combines screenings in Lima with an itinerant selection that extends access to films across Peru. Filmmaker conversations, workshops, masterclasses and other educational activities accompany the screenings.
Its El Mercado industry programme supports Peruvian filmmakers through WIP, for films in post-production, and LAB, for fiction features in development. The festival also connects these projects with international programmers, distributors and sales professionals.
