Concorto Film Festival
Concorto Film Festival is an international short film festival held every August in Pontenure, just outside Piacenza, Italy. Its main venue is an open-air arena in Parco Raggio, the park of a late 19th-century villa with a Victorian-style greenhouse, while daytime screenings and talks take place at the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery in Piacenza. The festival began in 2002 as a retrospective and is run by the non-profit Associazione Concorto, which also leads film education projects.
A single international competition is open to short films of up to 30 minutes, with no restrictions on theme or genre. A professional jury awards the Asino d’Oro (Golden Donkey), while a jury of young cinephiles and the audience give their own prizes. Out-of-competition focuses, concerts, industry days and the children’s strand Concorto Kids complete the programme. The dates for the 2026 edition are 22–29 August 2026.
