Valladolid International Film Festival

SEMINCI, the Valladolid International Film Festival (Semana Internacional de Cine de Valladolid), has taken place every year in Valladolid, Spain, since 1956, at the end of October. It operates within the Municipal Foundation of Culture of Valladolid City Council, and its stated aim is to show and promote films of high artistic quality from world cinema. Films in most competitive sections must be Spanish premieres.

The competitive feature sections are the International Official Section, Meeting Point, Alchemies, for innovative film language, and Time of History, for non-fiction; SEMINCI Youth and Miniminci are programmed for young audiences, and Memory & Utopia shows restored classics. Short films compete in three sections: international shorts, grouped into programmes of fiction, animation and non-fiction, Spanish shorts and shorts from Castile and León. The top prizes are the Golden and Silver Spikes. The 71st edition takes place from 23 to 31 October 2026.
