International Short Film Festival of Lille

The Festival International du Court Métrage de Lille has presented short films in all forms – animation, fiction, documentary and experimental work – since 2001. It is produced by Rencontres Audiovisuelles, a Lille association that has worked since 1998 on screenings, image education and digital creation in the Hauts-de-France region. The competition, in national and international categories, is shown in the open air on deckchairs at Gare Saint Sauveur and in L'hybride, the association's screening room, and the audience decides the palmarès by its votes.

Animation has a prominent place: the all-night Nuit de l'animation, held since 2002, best-of programmes from European animation schools and masterclasses. The festival also includes the Marathon du Court filmmaking challenge and the Village des Enfants, a family weekend of workshops and screenings at the Arenberg mining site. The 26th edition runs from 17 to 27 September 2026.
