The Bolshoy Detskiy Festival (BDF) is a multidisciplinary festival of work for children and teenagers, founded in 2018 on the initiative of actor Sergey Bezrukov, who is its artistic director. Alongside theatre, children's books and inclusive projects, its competition includes cinema and animation for young audiences: feature-length and short live-action films and animated shorts. An expert council selects the competition programme, and the winners are chosen by an independent jury of children and teenagers aged 8 to 16. The festival is organised by the Sergey Bezrukov Foundation for the Support and Development of Socio-Cultural Projects together with the Moscow Art Theatre named after M. Gorky and the Moscow Gubernsky Theatre; its special programme Echo BDF is held in other Russian regions and abroad.

The ninth edition runs in Moscow from 22 August to 17 November 2026 and in Saint Petersburg from 12 September to 4 November 2026.
