Lanterna Mágica is an international animation festival that aims to promote and spread the worldwide animation market. The festival takes place in the city of Goiânia, Goiás annually and made its debut in 2017. The program includes competitive and non-competitive showings, workshops, case studies, lectures and some extra surprises.

The submitted films undergo an official curation, performed by guests who work in the audiovisual animation market, and compose the competitive and non-competitive showings. The awards are granted based on the choice made by the jurors and the public that watches the exhibitions.

The festival is actualized by Caolha Filmes, which produces animations and content aimed at children and young people such as short films, series and feature films. Lanterna Mágica is directed by Camila Nunes, Iuri Moreno and Lara Morena.

O Lanterna Mágica é um festival internacional de animação que tem o intuito de promover e difundir o mercado de animação brasileiro e mundial. O festival acontece na cidade de Goiânia, Goiás anualmente e fez sua estreia no calendário mundial em 2017. A programação inclui mostras competitivas e não competitivas, oficinas, estudos de caso, palestras e algumas surpresas a mais.

Os filmes inscritos passam por uma curadoria oficial, formada por convidados que atuam na área do mercado audiovisual de animação, e integram as mostras competitivas, não competitivas e especiais. As premiações são feitas a partir da escolha dos jurados e do público que acompanha as exibições.

O festival é uma realização da Caolha Filmes, que produz animações e conteúdos voltados ao público infantil e infanto-juvenil, como curtas, séries e longas. O Lanterna Mágica tem direção geral de Débora Resendes, Iuri Moreno e Lara Morena.
