The Festival de Cine de Madrid FCM-PNR is devoted to emerging Spanish cinema and to the work of new filmmakers, much of which has no commercial release in Spain. It is organised by the Plataforma Nuevos Realizadores (PNR), a non-profit association of emerging directors, producers and technicians, and its first edition dates back to 1991. The Official Sections show Spanish short and feature films in competition, Panorama PNR presents work by the association's members, and parallel sections include Cine Sordo for fiction shorts performed in sign language, Cine Molón for shorts made for children, and a section for vertical 9:16 films and series. The festival pays a screening fee to the films selected for its Official Sections.

The 35th edition runs from 14 to 20 September 2026 at Cineteca Madrid and Sala Berlanga, together with Zona Industria, a programme of talks, networking and pitch sessions for feature and short film projects.
