Tenerife Shorts pairs an international short film competition with Canary Shorts, devoted to work from the Canary Islands, and Family Shorts, a programme for children. Its screenings in Santa Cruz de Tenerife use Spanish and English subtitles. The non-profit Asociación Tenerife Shorts organises the festival, whose selection combines an open call, invitations and research into international short film production.

The festival dates back to 2013. The tenth edition’s dates are 23–25 June 2023 at TEA Tenerife Espacio de las Artes, with international and Canarian competition screenings, a children’s animation programme and a masterclass on politics in cinema and art.
