The SIGGRAPH Asia Computer Animation Festival selects computer-generated films and digital imagery for its Electronic Theater and Animation Theater screenings. Its international jury considers animated shorts, feature-film excerpts, music videos, commercials, visual effects, real-time animation, and scientific visualizations. Student projects compete alongside professional work, with a dedicated student award. The festival forms part of the ACM SIGGRAPH Asia conference and has its own submission process, jury, and awards.

The 2026 edition takes place from 1–4 December 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The program includes the two curated theater screenings and recognizes work through jury and audience awards.

Awards and prizes

The 2026 Computer Animation Festival presents Best in Show, Jury Special, Best Student Film, and Audience Choice awards. Films screened in the Electronic Theater are eligible for these awards.

Festival rules

For the 2026 competition, eligible works are completed on or after 14 July 2025 and include significant or inventive use of computer-generated imagery or digital production. Each work requires a separate online submission. Student entries must be identified as student work to qualify for the student award. There is no submission fee. Submitters must secure the necessary image, music, and other rights. Selection involves pre-screening reviewers followed by an international jury.
