Eyeworks pairs contemporary experimental animation with classic and rediscovered films, concentrating on work by individual artists. Its curated programs connect cartoon animation with avant-garde and underground cinema, and include guest retrospectives and conversations with filmmakers. Founded in 2010, the festival is based in Los Angeles and is organized and curated by Alexander Stewart and Lilli Carré. Pioneer Works presents its annual screening series in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.

The 2026 edition has screenings on 10 October at 2220 Arts + Archives in Los Angeles, 25 October at Block Cinema in the Chicago area, and 13 December at Anthology Film Archives in New York. The guest programs feature Shana Moulton in Los Angeles and Chris Sullivan in New York.
