Cinémondes presents independent cinema through contemporary fiction, documentary and animation, alongside restored films, filmmaker retrospectives and screenings followed by discussions. Its programme spans shorts and features, with a particular strand devoted to emerging filmmakers from Hauts-de-France and Belgium. Professional activities include round tables, a production forum and conversations with filmmakers.
Organised by Krysalide Diffusion, the festival dates back to 2005 and now centres on Abbeville, France, with screenings at Le Rex–Centre culturel. The dates of the 22nd edition are 13–18 October 2026. Its programme includes a retrospective devoted to guest of honour Claire Simon.
