Festival rules
Published rules for the 2025–2026 production season: competitive sections accept fiction and non-fiction. Features run over 40 minutes; shorts run 40 minutes or less. The Official Sections require a Spanish premiere, excluding previous Spanish festival, theatrical, television or platform exhibition. Selected films are supplied as DCPs in their original language with Spanish and English subtitles, except where one is the original language.
Panorama España does not require a national premiere but excludes works already available on Spanish VOD platforms. Canarias Cinema accepts Canarian productions or works by Canarian directors through the festival’s online form, without a Spanish-premiere requirement. Selected films must provide publicity materials and screening copies, and credit the festival and any award in subsequent publicity. These published terms concern the previous production season; 2027 entry conditions are not yet confirmed.
